Hello, I'm Luke H.

Luke​,​ the owner​/​operator of Bitterroot Backpacking left his previous career as a chemical engineer to pursue greener pastures... and mountains! After a 4 month road trip across the US​,​ hiking more than 1000 miles on various public lands​,​ and settled in Missoula​,​ Montana​,​ where he started Bitterroot Backpacking in Dec 2020. He refers to the Bitterroot as the "Mecca" of hiking and backpacking. The mile-deep​,​ glacially-cut canyons are spectacular and there aren't many other people out there to have to share it with!
