We're co-hosting a beginner nordic classic ski lesson at Teacup in partnership with Arc'teryx Portland this winter for women of color who have never nordic skied before. This program is intended to break down financial barriers for women of color who face them at the highest rates. This event is happening on March 2nd, 2025 from 8:30AM-1:00PM. This hands-on clinic will take you from "I've never been on skis!" to comfortably making turns in the safe, empowering, and fun space of a women of color student group. You'll need to get yourself there by 8:30-9am, but everything else (professional instruction, gear rentals, and outerwear rentals) will be free of cost. We'll plan to carpool. This is all made possible by Teacup (a local Portland nonprofit aiming to get folks nordic skiing) and Arc'teryx Portland - make sure to check out both when you're planning your winter outings and continued ski experiences this winter.
